DRUSILLA CREON AKA S'LAH AKA PATIENCE VALENTINE
ROMULAN FEMALE
AGE 30 HEIGHT 169 CM WEIGHT 64 KG PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Drusilla was often told, and is often reminded, that she is the spitting image of her mother. She is slightly taller than average, and of a healthy weight for her size. She has been described as busty, but this is simply her body's natural metabolic state. She is paler than most of her kind, though her dark hair is fairly typical. She is fortunate enough to have a body that conceals her pregnancy well. She is very capable with make-up, and can adjust her look to almost whatever she needs. She is naturally lightly freckled. Her movements are deliberate, yet graceful, a throwback to her time spent training as a ballerina in the precise Romulan style. |
She wears her hair long, and does not care for the more popular Romulan
bob. She does not often adorn herself in jewelery beyond a simple pair
of earrings.
PERSONALITY
Drusilla does not mince words or suffer fools, but she is not unfriendly or unfair. She is neither gregarious nor shy, but sits somewhere in the middle in her ability and willingness to interact with others. Though she will rarely say what's on her mind for the sake of it, if pressed she values efficiency in speech and practices it frequently. She is always studying, learning from others as they speak, which can be interpreted as a sort of coldness, but it is merely her way of appreciating others through observation. She is not particularly polite unless in a high-stakes social situation, or is impersonating someone who would be. She is a proud and patriotic Romulan, and considers the stereotypical Romulan deceitfulness for it's own sake abhorrent, despite how she has used it in the past. |
She does her best to be honest with others, though
she has no hesitance using her abilities to manipulate others if it is
for her own preservation or it is in the interest of justice. Though she
does not consider it to be what it is, she has a personal code of
honor and ethics that she adheres rigidly to, with the exception of
when her life is at stake. She has no qualms about administering any
behaviour she considers to be just.
Romulan paranoia is inherent in her being, though she does her best to objectively judge situations and people. Her time in the Romulan education system, combined with her own life's experience have left her with a deep prejudice, bordering on hatred, for Vulcans and Cardassians. She does not try particularly hard to counteract this.
She detests long periods of inactivity and boredom, as well as those she considers inactive or boring. In spite of this, she is extremely patient when she needs to be, though her Vulcan emotions can boil to the surface if she is particularly enraged. She has no hesitation in killing those she considers threats, or for business, but she will not harm anyone she considers innocent or defenseless.
Ultimately, not much phases Drusilla, and she retains a reasonable sense of humour and fairness about her, though she appreciates how someone who had lived her life could be wracked with depression or reactive madness. She is extremely reticent to talk about her past.
Though she is an atheist, her time on Earth introduced her to the concept of Buddhism, and she identifies as such, though she is not particularly devout.

STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
Drusilla is strong-willed, methodical and extremely thorough. Though she has little in the way of aptitude for maths or sciences, she is an excellent judge of character and has a great deal of emotional intelligence. She is also a very talented actor and liar when she needs to be. Physically, she is in peak condition, aside from being presently pregnant. She has been called a master of disguise, and this is not undeserved. Her time amongst other cultures and her training has left her with an ear for languages, though she speaks only a couple. Some of her Romulan traits prove difficult for Drusilla to ignore or control, and her Vulcan blood calls on a lot of her attention to control. She has no talent for numbers or hard science, and the complexities of computers and starships escape her, with the exception of starship weapons. She is notoriously stubborn and vengeful, which can cause friction with those she spends any length of time around. Her pregnancy has resulted in fierce and unpredictable mood swings, though they are uncommon. |
She deeply resents her Vulcan heritage, and has a great deal of distaste for any allusions to it.
AMBITIONS
Foremost in her mind at present is discovering what happened to her in the two months of her life she has no knowledge of. She wishes to see the Romulan Empire returned to greatness, though at present she has no way of doing that. In spite of her pregnancy, she wishes to continue living life as well as she can, continuing her work and ensuring that her child is healthy and able to be happy when it is born. Though it is not an active ambition, she would be happy to find a father for her child.

With all she missed at school and university, Drusilla also hopes that
she will be able to learn more about the worlds around her.
HOBBIES & INTERESTS Drusilla attempts to make any situation into an activity, though there are times where she is content to lounge and relax. She enjoys anything from complicated holonovels to card games, and any sort of ball sport. Though she does not derive any particular pleasure from it, she often practices martial arts and weapons skills, for the sake of exercise and meditation. She enjoys reading, but she has had scarce exposure to non-Romulan literature. She enjoys caring for plants, though she doesn't particularly understand botany. She was a chain-smoker prior to discovering her pregnancy, and has had a couple of slips since. She used to enjoy a drink, her ability to out-drink the men in her life was a point of pride, and she fears that she may have lost it in her time spent pregnant. FATHER Lucius Creon MOTHER L'tol (deceased) |
EARLY LIFE 2364-80
Dhroh-Sehya'iliaal's (Drusilla, in Federation Standard) life began on an officially unclaimed world known as Corbulus, which sat between the Romulan Empire and the Cardassian Union. The world had been settled by a contingent of Vulcans acting on behalf of the Reunification movement, hoping to show goodwill to the Empire by offering diplomatic counsel and mediation between Cardassian and Romulan interests. Though Corbulus was officially unclaimed, the success of the diplomatic efforts attracted the interest of the Tal Shiar, and they sent a Commander named Lucius Creon (Lhucaya-Aoohs Creih'Eunnh in non-standardised Rihannsu) to administer their secretive efforts to spy on Cardassia.
The Vulcan population was immediately subjugated by the Tal Shiar presence, and the Commander took a Vulcan woman named L'Tol as his personal concubine, an arrangement agreed to by the Administrator of the colony, and the woman herself, even though she already had a young family and husband. L'Tol resented the arrangement, but did it for the safety of her fellow colonists, and the sake of their mission there.
L'Tol became pregnant within the first three months, and though Lucian ordered her to terminate the pregnancy, she refused, and oddly he did not press the matter. After a relatively stable pregnancy, Drusilla was born. For a few months afterwards, Drusilla and her mother remained constantly with Commander Creon, however he quickly tired of the infant, and the attentions his woman focused on her, and ordered her to return to her family. She took Drusilla back to her family, where after some initial hesitation, the child was welcomed.

She took Drusilla back to her family, where after some initial hesitation, the child was welcomed.
Not long after Drusilla's second birthday, the Tal Shiar presence was
discovered by the Cardassians, and they were forced to leave. The
Commander was reassigned to Romulus, where he returned to his own
family, leaving Drusilla behind without a second thought. For almost a
year, the colony continued under independent rule as it had before, but
soon, as political boundaries changed, the Cardassians arrived.
Far less benevolent than the Romulans, the Cardassians had little regard for the diplomatic efforts, and quickly enslaved the population, converting the diplomatic outpost into a labor camp. It lasted only a few months, when a Cardassian soldier drunkenly attempted to rape the wife of a former security officer, he was killed in a struggle, prompting the Gul to order the extermination of the entire population, declaring the colony a waste of resources. Drusilla and her teenage step-siblings were able to avoid the massacre, though they witnessed the disintegration of their parents at the hands of the merciless Cardassian occupation force. |
The planet was abandoned by the
next morning, the children and the few survivors were forced to band
together for survival.
A few months later, a passing Romulan scout picked up the survivors. The Vulcans were returned to Federation space, however Drusilla's Romulan heritage prompted them to bring her back to Romulus as a foundling of the state. She was housed in one of the less unpleasant orphanages in the northern city of Valiaan, and in spite of all she'd seen and been a part of, went on to lead a relatively normal childhood.
When she was thirteen, she was contacted by a man claiming to be her father. She had been aware of her heritage since childhood, however being only five when her mother died, she was unable to hear the whole story. Her father explained her situation to her, embellishing some of the details to make himself seem more heroic. Apparently, his own family had recently died in a shuttle accident, and it would be politically advantageous for him to have a family member around. Drusilla agreed to the arrangement, and went to live with her father, though she knew she would not have really had a choice in the matter.
They moved to the capital, were Drusilla attended an elite private school and was almost instantly thrust into the world of the social elite, in spite of her poor academic performance. Her father quickly introduced her into his world, after school she would meet with instructors from the Tal Shiar; she would be a spy.
Her training was thorough and she was a fast learner, by the time she was fourteen, she was already performing field operations with Tal Shiar agents. Though the risk to her was great, she proved to be an exemplary operative. Hoping to hone his daughter's skills, her father sent her across the Quadrant to study with the finest warriors, under the premise of experiencing the Galaxy's finest educational institutions. Though her education was marginally effected by her time working, Drusilla was completely absorbed by the world she had entered, and although she could not always morally justify the work she did as a Tal Shiar operative, she did it gladly.
When she was nineteen, her father retired from the Tal Shiar, and revealed that he had been secretly administering and cultivating a criminal enterprise known as the Remora Syndicate, which proved far more profitable than his work with the Tal Shiar. He offered his daughter a position within the organization, she accepted gladly, feeling the Tal Shiar was a far less honourable enterprise than she initially believed, though she had done the work gladly.
Her position in the syndicate very quickly solidified as that of an assassin, part of an elite group of five known as The Fingers. Officially, Drusilla was studying on Romulus at this time, earning a degree in history, though the truth was much more complex. Lucius had acquired a dangerous and extremely unpredictable transwarp beaming platform (which he had had to kill several good agents to acquire and keep secret), which he used to send The Fingers across the Galaxy, earning absurd amounts of currency and a fierce, well-deserved reputation. During her time at university she dated an Andorian ambassador at the request of her father, giving her an excellent alibi and access to diplomatic events. She gleaned that the ambassador may have been a sexual deviant of some description using her as a cover, but did not explore the issue. The relationship ended as soon as the Ambassador was reassigned.
After her graduation, she continued working as a Finger until she was twenty-eight, and the Hobus event took place. She was in the process of eliminating a wealthy and ruthless human industrialist who was visiting Romulus to open a series of sweatshops when the event began. As news of the destruction of Hobus spread, Drusilla began to believe the minority of scientists who claimed that it could soon affect Romulus, even though they'd been publicly ridiculed as lunatics. She left Romulus on unregistered transport, and after their worst fears came true and Romulus was destroyed, she was presumed dead by her father, who had been managing operations on another world.
Free of her life as a Finger, Drusilla was able to switch between the alternate identities established by the Tal Shiar for her work outside of Romulan space, though she settled on officially presenting herself as Patience Valentine, a southern belle and dilithium prospector, as well as part-time bounty hunter, though her official registration was a Vulcan identity. Realizing she would need income to survive, Drusilla decided her skills would best translate to bounty hunting. She did this for a time, though the ruin of Romulus meant that there was little work to be had within the Empire. She found the Ferengi too cheap to work for, and the Klingons too dangerous, so she was finally left to settle for Federation Space, where she would be forced to bring in targets alive.
Drusilla took passage aboard a ship named the SS Pontifex run by a group of Catholic missionaries, and conducted her business from there. On a mission to recover an Orion smuggler hiding on Risa, however, something went wrong. She has no memory of arriving on Risa, or the two months afterwards, however she is sure that the target was brought in alive, and she was paid for her work. She was unable to locate the missionaries, though their ship was found derelict and abandoned on the edge of Breen Confederacy space.
Hoping to get back to work as soon as possible, and unable to find any clues as to what had happened to her after a month of searching, Drusilla found herself on Deep Space Nine. A routine medical examination revealed that she was two months pregnant. Despite the Doctor's advice, she decided that the best course of action was to spend the time she was pregnant arranging for the time when she would be unable to work. With this in mind, she made contact with some of her sources from her Tal Shiar days, hoping to find more lucrative, yet unfortunately more dangerous work, under the guise of legitimate business.
